Canva vendor list template vs an app

A Canva template is the quickest way to hand clients a good-looking vendor list, and the seller templates we checked cost a few dollars. The trade-off is that the PDF is fixed on the day you send it. Proferral gives each client one link you keep current and shows who was hired, and it runs in a browser today.

How do I make a branded vendor list for my real estate clients in Canva?

Buy a vendor list template, open it in Canva, put in your names, photo and colors, and download it as a PDF. The two seller pages we checked charge $4.99 and $12 for a personal license. You can have a finished list the same afternoon.

The details differ by seller. Studio MJA sells a single-sided flyer for $4.99 in 8.5 by 11 inch and 210 by 297 mm sizes, and you can change its colors, graphics, text and photos. Its page says the template is for personal use only and can't be resold. ZoaniDesign on Creative Market sells a set of four templates for $12 with a personal license or $19 with a commercial one. That page says the templates open in the free version of Canva, that you receive a PDF with a link to your Canva template, and that you can't share or resell them.

Do clients have to download an app to see my vendor list?

No. A PDF opens on any phone, and so does a Proferral go-to list, which needs no app and no login. The difference is what happens later, because the PDF stays as it was the day you sent it and the go-to list link does not expire.

What does a Canva vendor list not do?

A PDF is a snapshot. When your plumber changes his number, every copy you've already sent still has the old one, and the fix is a new file for every client. Even a template seller that also sells a link product puts it plainly: Trusted Only's template page says "A printed list goes stale."

A file also can't tell you who called whom. If you want to know whether the Garcias hired the roofer on your list, you have to ask them. We cover the file-or-link question in more depth in textable vendor list: PDF vs link, so it isn't repeated here.

When should you choose a Canva template?

Choose the template when you want a printed piece for a closing packet or a listing binder. It's also the right pick if you want full control over the design, down to the font on each heading, and you don't need to know who was hired. Proferral doesn't make printable flyers, so if paper is the point, a template does something we don't.

Whatever the format, the content matters most. What to put on a realtor vendor list covers which trades and details to include.

What are Proferral's limits next to a Canva template?

Proferral works in any browser today, and the iPhone and Android apps are coming, though we can't give you a date. License checks against state rosters cover Oregon and Washington only. You also can't design the page your clients see the way you can in Canva.

If you already keep your template's names in a spreadsheet, you can import them rather than typing them again. Your clients then open your go-to list from a link. For the other do-it-yourself option, read vendor list spreadsheet vs app, and for the wider field, see vendor list apps for realtors, compared.

Proferral gives every client one go-to list link that shows your current names, and check-ins record whether they hired the provider. It runs in a browser today, and the phone apps aren't out yet. You can read how the link works in go-to list.
