Does Lofty have a vendor list you can share with clients?

Yes, on your website. Lofty's Vendor Block shows every vendor you add on a page of your Lofty-built site, where visitors can search them. A separate Vendor/Partner setting, which team owners and admins set up, lets you add vendors to a client's transaction. The Lofty pages we checked don't describe recording whether a client hired the vendor.

What is the Lofty Vendor Block?

It is a block you drop onto a page of your Lofty website to show your vendors and their contact details to site visitors. You add each vendor under CMS settings, in Team Info, and only the company name is required. You can sort vendors into categories that you name, reorder and delete.

Visitors can search the block, and clicking a vendor's profile takes them to that vendor's website. Vendors are listed A to Z by default, and you can switch the block to use your own order instead.

Can you show different vendors to different clients in Lofty?

No, not with the Vendor Block. The help article says every vendor you add in settings appears in the block, and you can't choose only certain vendors for a given block. In its words, "it's all or nothing."

So the block is one public list for everyone who visits your site. That suits a general resources page. It doesn't give the Garcias a list of just the roofer and plumber you'd send them to.

What does Lofty's Vendor and Partner Management do?

It keeps your trusted vendors in the CRM so you can attach them to a client's deal. The help article says team owners and admins add vendors and partners under Settings, in Company, and other users can't reach that setup. The built-in roles are Utilities, Home Improvement, Home Warranty, Escrow/Title, Home Insurance, Home Inspection and Agent, and you can create your own.

To use one, you open the client's profile, add a transaction if there isn't one, and pick the vendor on its Contacts tab. You can choose to send an introduction email when you assign them. The article says this lets you share the client's information with the vendor so they can follow up. Lofty also says "future improvements to this feature are planned."

Does Lofty's Closely app show your vendors?

No, the page we checked doesn't show that. Lofty describes Closely as "a client-facing mobile app" your buyers and sellers use to search for homes, look at listings and message you. Clients download it, it is free for them, and Lofty says it is included in all Lofty subscription packages.

The Closely page doesn't mention vendors, home services or local pros. If you want clients to reach your vendors, the Vendor Block on your website is the Lofty feature that does that.

How much does Lofty cost?

Lofty doesn't publish a price. Its pricing page names four plans, Lofty Agent, Lofty Team, Lofty Broker and Lofty Enterprise, and each one asks you to request pricing. Its homepage also offers lenders "a free companion CRM" for working with the agents they partner with.

When is Lofty the right choice?

Lofty is the right choice if your website and CRM already run on it. A Vendor Block on a resources page gives every visitor your local people without a second tool, and the Vendor/Partner roles let your title, inspection and insurance contacts get an introduction email when you add them to a deal.

It also fits teams where one admin manages the vendor list for everyone, since that is how Lofty sets up the Vendor/Partner feature.

What are Proferral's limits next to Lofty?

Proferral is not a CRM, and it doesn't track buyer and seller deals. It works in any browser today, and the iPhone and Android apps are coming, but we can't give you a date. License checks against state rosters cover Oregon and Washington only.

You can use both. On Pro, inquiries from your list can go to your CRM through Zapier, and Pro is $24 a month (see pricing). The habit matters more than the software, and following up after referring a contractor covers what to ask whichever tool you use.
